Japanese comic artist Yukiko Seike is creating a manga adaptation on Makoto Shinkai's 5 Centimeters Per Second anime film. The first chapter of the manga will be released in the July issue of Kodansha's Monthly Afternoon magazine. Coincidentally, Mizu Sahara, the author of Same Cell Organism had drawn the manga adaptations of two previous Shinkai works, The Voices of a Distant Star and The Place Promised in Our Early Days in the same magazine..
